Jeff represents companies in the financial services and mortgage industries nationwide in litigation and government investigations. He has obtained jury verdicts and judgments in state and federal courts and arbitration proceedings throughout the country, and he regularly represents companies in class actions and complex litigation. He defends companies in a wide range of matters, including suits brought under the False Claims Act, federal and state consumer protection statutes, and financial and consumer regulatory statutes such as RESPA, TILA, FCRA, and ECOA. Jeff’s practice includes general commercial litigation, trade secrets disputes, and business and contract disputes.
In addition, Jeff represents companies in connection with government investigations and enforcement actions brought by federal and state regulatory agencies. He has represented clients before the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), and analogous state agencies.
