Florida OFR Orders Fake Bank to Cease and Desist

The Florida Office of Financial Regulation recently issued a cease and desist order directed at a website that purports to offer banking services under a name that is not chartered or licensed anywhere in the U.S. to do so. 

Beyond the facts alleged in the order itself, it appears that the website in question is one of several very similar sites, using different names but the same apparently fictitious branch addresses, purporting to offer depository banking services and mortgage loans, among other offerings.
