Jackie helps clients navigate the complex state licensing and agency approvals landscape. As a member of Weiner Brodsky Kider’s regulatory practice group, Jackie focuses on state mortgage licensing and regulatory requirements, providing advice to a range of financial services companies, including bank and non-bank mortgage lenders, brokers, and servicers, in connection with change of control applications, mergers, de novo licensing, examination response, and enforcement defense.
Jackie’s unique perspective stems from her background in both government and private sector roles, allowing her to anticipate challenges and offer practical solutions. Jackie previously held significant roles in the public sector as Chief Counsel for Consumer Finance at the Ohio Division of Financial Institutions and as an Assistant Attorney General. Jackie’s private sector experience includes law firm, in-house counsel, and bank compliance department roles. This broad range of experience equips Jackie with a deep understanding of the challenges facing the companies she serves.

Representative Matters
- Advise and assist bank and non-bank lenders in obtaining new state company licenses and exemptions
- Obtain regulatory approvals for asset sales, stock sales, reorganizations, and changes in control of mortgage companies
- Work with multiple state agencies to restore client company to good standing quickly, in order to close transaction on time
- Assist clients with branch and individual licensing in the NMLS
- Advise bank and non-bank clients on federal and state regulatory compliance questions
