Mulvaney Reorganizes the CFPB’s Student Loan Office

According to several major news outlets, CFPB Acting Director Mick Mulvaney recently indicated in an e-mail to CFPB staff that the Bureau’s Office of Students and Young Consumers, which deals with student loans, will be incorporated into the Office of Financial Education.  In February, Mulvaney made a similar organizational change when he transferred the Office of Fair Lending and Equal Opportunity from the Supervision, Enforcement, and Fair Lending Division to the Office of Equal Opportunity and Fairness.
