FHA Revises HUD Addendum to Uniform Residential Loan Application

The Federal Housing Agency (FHA) recently revised Form HUD-92900-A HUD Addendum to Uniform Residential Loan Application to (i) better align the loan level certifications with regulatory and legal requirements, and (ii) provide clarity and ensure accuracy of information provided to FHA.  Mortgagees may use the revised form immediately and must use the revised form for all cases assigned on or after March 22, 2021.

The revision includes:

  • consent requirement from the borrower to verify their social security number;
  • disclosure requirements including disclosures regarding the Paperwork Reduction Act, Privacy Act, and Fair Housing Act; and
  • warnings about false certifications and additional certifications from the Mortgage representative and Direct Endorsement Underwriter.

The name of the revised form is changed to HUD Addendum to the URLA.  HUD welcomes public feedback through January 21, 2021.
