FHA Announces Advances Toward UAD 3.6 Integration

FHA has released FHA INFO 2026-15 (June 2026), outlining the agency’s next steps in transitioning to Uniform Appraisal Dataset (UAD) 3.6.  Building upon the framework established in FHA INFO 2025-42 (August 2025) (see prior WBK coverage), this shift replaces legacy GSE appraisal forms with a unified, data-driven report designed to enhance collateral risk management.  While adoption dates are forthcoming, the FHA is currently facilitating beta testing and has committed to an optional transition period that will precede the GSEs’ mandatory requirements, ensuring lenders have adequate time to align their systems.

To support this transition, the FHA has launched the “UAD 3.6 Implementation Preparedness Toolbox” via its Electronic Appraisal Delivery (EAD) portal.  FHA is encouraging lenders and technology providers to review these technical specifications to begin necessary development.  The EAD portal is now open for UAD 3.6 API development and submission testing within the Veros Integration (INTG) environment.

FHA is seeking additional participants for the current beta testing phase; mortgagees interested in early integration should contact the FHA Resource Center to coordinate participation.
