FCC Repeals TCPA One-to-One Consent Rule
The FCC issued a final rule repealing the One-to-One Consent Rule for telemarketing under the TCPA, which would have required that a caller can only rely on consumer consent for purposes of TCPA compliance when such consent was provided with respect to one business at a time, rather than by group or category. The final rule reinstates the prior version of the rule with an effective date of August 29, 2025. The Eleventh Circuit vacated the rule earlier this year, which WBK covered here.
